Goldegg Project
Plone is a CMS product atop a stack of open source framework technologies. Moving the product forward means moving the stack forward. However, this requires architectures working together, which requires architects working together.
Goldegg is a funding initiative to invest in the stack by supporting the architects, community, and roadmap at each stack layer. Plone companies and customers can pool money into a Goldegg funding cycle, with each cycle tied to a release of the stack. CIGNEX is the founder and a primary funding sponsor of the Goldegg initiative.

Project Plone Live
CIGNEX sponsored two of its employees, Munwar Shariff and Michel Pelletier, on a project to create a book that will provide the most comprehensive treatment on development using Plone. CIGNEX also partnered with an innovative publisher, Sourcebeat, to create a "live" book that will stay current for at least 12 months. This was a six-month project for Munwar and Michel and the book was released in May 2005.

Zemantic
Zemantic is a SemanticWeb store and search engine for Zope 3. Zemantic works by storing RDF data that can come from either internal objects or external resources.
Zemantic is a new component for Zope that brings the paradigm of the semantic Web to Zope and Plone users. The semantic Web is a new standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium that creates new, standard protocols for users and Web sites to exchange data and metadata about their resources.
Zemantic can be used in new or existing Zope and Plone projects to manage and index the relationships between resources, their tags, keywords, characteristics, and other data. By using Zemantic, projects can take this normally closed field of metadata management and open it up to the whole world, allowing external people and systems to use standard tools to get and process metadata.

Safari is a paid service offered by O'Reilly where subscribers have access to hundreds of technology books. Eclipse is one of the leading Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) that developers use worldwide.
CIGNEX worked with O'Reilly to create a plug-in that provides a Safari search capability from within Eclipse.

JaWE is a visual tool for creating, managing, and reviewing process definitions. Straightforward and simple, JaWE lets users quickly create workflow process definitions, and check and store them for further use
Openflow is an activity-based workflow management system built for Zope-based applications
JaWE2Openflow is a tool to create Openflow workflow in Zope using XPDL files generated by JaWE. This tool provides great flexibility in defining the workflow process using a graphical workflow editor and converts the graphical representation into a Web application business process.
