Client needed to migrate content from their existing solution to a reliable web content management solution to address three-pronged objectives—flexible and scalable architecture, data integrity across all sites, and reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of websites
The existing Documentum Web Publisher Ver 6.0 a based solution had issues related to
- Absence of a workflow functionality to approve and publish content
- Multisite data centers causing high cost structure (duplication of infrastructure)
- Content publish transmission was not guaranteed, necessitating the user to confirm transaction by manually checking the website
Solution
The client undertook an exhaustive evaluation comparing their current CMS solution to the offerings from Fatwire, Documentum 7.0 and our solution using Alfresco. CIGNEX solution was selected by the evaluation team as the preferred solution to migrate their existing portals to Alfresco CMS. Key features of the Enterprise CMS include:
